Thinner!

Like the novel by Stephen King written under the name of Richard Bachman, I do believe, I am thinner! I got on the scale and I had lost another 5 pounds. I was very motivated this morning. I got up and walked for about 40 minutes. Of course the horrible "lack of circulation itch," was happening. Now I feel all broke up! Lack of excercise and then trying to get back into it will do that to you. I feel good today but I can tell I used muscles that have not been used in a while.

Breakfast was yogurt and granola. Lunch was cottage cheese and melba toast spread with gorganzola cheese spread. Water was and is the drink of the day. Thinner! I like that.

Cereal in Excess

In all my life I have never seen anyone eat ceral so fast as the girl I mentioned before in my office who is morbidly obese.  And Sugar Frosted Flakes no less.  And multiple bowls, one right after the other.  I had to get on her for several things....the multiple bowls..no good.  The brand...no good.  I suggested Cheerios or oatmeal or bran flakes......something with no sugar.  My lord, she is big enough and not doing anything about it.  It bothers me.  She is a nice enough person, funny, ghetto but had not made the choice to make a lifestyle change for the better.  It just worries me.

I was good so far today.  I  had a bowl of yogurt and granola--pecan and cranberry, coffee and lots and lots of water.  I got on the scale and I have lost about 4 pounds.  Not anywhere near my goal swimsuit, but a little at a time. Slow and steady wins the race.  The water or rather the river of water I drink each day keeps me up every hour to the bathroom.  I get tired of going.  But I know that water flushes away fat as well.

Mc--Food!

Well, so much for the instant replay. I liked the egg mcmuffin so much on yesterday that I decided to get one myself today. It was just okay. It was not as good as the other, plus I had to pay for it myself. I won't be running out to get one any time soon. It was a dissapointment. I tried the yogurt parfait. It was good but a little sweet. I doubt I will get that again either. Maybe I was not in the mood. I am not sure.

Lunch was a tv dinner. Now that was good. Very good. I am chasing it all down with lots and lots of water. Gotta run now.....off to el bano. All that water needs to do somewhere!

Bad Sushi

Have you ever had a bout with bad sushi?  Last week I did.  I was in the grocery store one moenign about 7am and decided that I would get fresh sushi for lunch. I love sushi and in all the years I have been eating it, never had a bad piece.  There was an interesting squid tentacle salad with bamboo shoots made up also.  I got that with my normal platter of california rolls, tuna and shrimp and went to work.

I was in seventh heaven when I ate lunch.  The squid salad was devine and so was the sushi.  I felt a slight queasiness about 40 minutes after eating.  It was slight and I was fine after that.  About 2 hours later I had a lemon and ginger tea cookie....maybe about three of them.  Then the heaving, rolling and churning of my stomach really began.  I guess it was all that exotic sushi and the lemon ginger together.  Not a good combo.

I began to drink water, lots of it, hoping to push it all down.  Needless to say I began to feel that feeling that I needed to keep swallowing and I knew it was time to get up from my desk and sprint to the bathroom.  Why is the office bathroom so far away and locked with a key that you have to sign out.  By the time I got to the hall, I only had a few seconds to open the door and get in.

Projectile.  That is the only word to describe what happened.  Needless to say better was the only word I felt after.  Needless to day I have not even wanted to THINK about any sushi or lemon ginger english tea biscuits in combination or by themselves.  Just won't go there for a very long time.

It Started Good...

Well, today started off very well.  I left home with 2 apples for breakfast and a small jar of caramel.  That was to be my great breakfast.  I had one apple and began to get kind of full.  Then low and behold, one of the managers from next door brought in egg mcmuffins for all.  I had one.  The calories from one of those is 370.  That is an entire meal.  I did not look any furthur to see the fat content.  Boy was it good.  Normally I do not eat them.  I am not a fan of english muffins.  It sure was good today.  The poached egg was especially good.  I do not think I have had an egg in a month.  That was why it was so sinfully good.

Now I am filling up on water.  I did bring a microwave dinner for lunch.  And I have the 2nd apple and a little more caramel.  Back on track I am.
