Sea of Yellow

Spring has sprung, I do believe. The yellow pollen from the pine trees is everywhere. The cars have a thick coating of yellow that renews each day. Even if you park in the garage, it seeps in on like the fog, on cat feet. All you can do is hose off your car. The problem is people. People and flowers and pollen don't seem to mix this time of year. A lot of my coworkers and friends i know have allergies. Thanks goodness I am lucky. The pollen and flowers do not bother me, so I am free to enjoy the view.

Things are just about to burst forth into bloom, with the earliest being the azaleas. Now I have never been a big fan of them because they seem to be everywhere. I have always been a fan of other flower spring and summer flowers like asters and flowering vines. I have always been a fan of tinkering in the garden to grow a few o my own, but when I think of a big event that needs flowers as an offset I think of needing wholesale flowers. Many in volume and economical in cost.

This is not only the time of year to think of pollen and flowers, but also flowers and weddings. Great big bunches of flowers in beautiful and artful arrangements! If you are doing wedding on a budget, wholesale flowers are the only way to go. Whether it be calla lillies, roses or hydrangeas, the savings of buying flowers from Fifty Flowers.com can actually save you 75%. How? The middle man of a florest is removed and the flowers are shipped direct from the grower to you. They are sent overnight via Fedex and can be delivered to the bride or her wedding planner.

They have a great selection for the bride to choose from. Every holiday or season can be accomodated by special flowers. They have centerpieces and even rose petals for the smallests members to sprinkle as they walk down the aisle. The beauty of flowers can make the wedding an extra special day and Fifty Flowers is commited to being sure their customers are satisfied and that they play a vital part in making that special day truley special. So, with that said, if you are most lucky like me and have no trouble with allergies, go out and smell the roses. Going Strong

Well. I have come to really love organic granola, mandarin oranges and yogurt for breakfast. It is the breakfast of champions. For lunch I had spinach pasta salad. I have not found the time to get any walking in yet. This week seems like it will happen. Tomorrow after work will be the first day. The bad thing is the itching that comes from the circulation being jarred up from inactivity. That is the worst part of starting an excercise program. It will leave in about a week, but it is annoying and uncomfortable. I have cute workout clothes that do not quite fit now. They will be snug, but I will wear them. I refuse to buy any more clothing at the size I am now.

It is odd. Inside I feel very small in size. The mirror shows differently. I guess that is a good thing, unlike the small people who mentally think they are big and end up with eating disorders. I just have to get active and get more sleep. At times I know I am sleep deprived and am just too tired to work out. Sleep is what I need the most. I plan to get more of that as well. Without proper rest you will not loose weight either.

Goody, Goody, Tuna!

Well. I have been very consistent the last few days. I have stepped up the water intake and have reduced the calorie intake. Breakfast today was about 1/2 cup of mandarin oranges with organic yogurt and granola sprinkled on top. It was yummy. But about an hour ago, I got a little shaky. After some blood orange juice and a 6 inch tuna sub from Subway, I feel much better. I know I have not had tuna in a while and it is the BEST tuna I think I have ever had. Of course it is because I am so hungry.

For snacks I have been munching on dates and pistachios. So far so good. Something bad? I have a small canister of benee wafers in my desk. What am I going to do with those? I keep offering them to my co-workers to get rid of them. They are going...oh so very slowly. I have not lost anything yet according to the scale, but I do feel lighter. The needle moving will come soon.

I have been way too tired to exercise. Not enough sleep. But, that situation will be changing as well. I have to get walking in.. Soon. Like this week. Lifestyle change. That is what I am shooting for and then all else will fall into place.

The Tally Thus Far

Today for breakfast I had yogurt, some dates, blood orange juice and a handful of pistacios. And let's not forget the coffee. Not too bad. For lunch I had a Lean Ciusine. It was good. Now I plan to fill up on water. I have drank about 33 ounces so fat, so I know I have many more ounces to go before this day is over. I have removed all the Valentines candy that was given to me and to all by various co-workers and friends. That was a serious mid afternoon empty calorie setup. If I have a craving for sweet, I can always have a date or open that can of mandarin oranges I brought in from home. Spring is coming and I can;t stand it any longer. I have clothes that I want to wear comfortably. Control. It is a craZY, HARD THING!
